The Board of Fellows, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria PSN has honored former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris with the ‘Distinguish Leadership Award.’

The dinner/award night took place at the NAF Conference Centre Kado area of Abuja on Wednesday 29th, June during the 2022 Mid-Year Meeting of the body, along with other awardees who were both serving and former Governors.

The award, according to the President, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria PSN, Professor Cyril Usifoh was in recognition of his valuable contributions to the medical profession both as Kogi Governor between 2003-2013 and out of office.

The PSN President stated that his advisory and advocacy roles towards the rejigging of community awareness and professional conduct of members attracted the prestigious award.

He commended the former Kogi Governor for the appointment of their colleague, a former commissioner in Kogi state during his term in office, saying it was a rare privilege and opportunity.

The PSN President appealed to the former Kogi Governor to continue in its vigorous campaigns both nationally and internationally, to rid the country not only of fake and adulterated drugs but the proliferation of illegal drug sales outfits across the country.

He congratulated the former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris as one of the recipients, saying the body is looking forward to more support from his enormous wealth of experience.

Responding, Ex-Kogi Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Idris appreciates the laudable roles of the body, promising to continue to support the cardinal objectives of the body.
