Flooding is a recurring phenomenon which has over the years brought negative effect on human existence by causing havoc in some States of the federation.
The federal government through its various agencies saddle with responsibility of providing succour to affected States vowed not rest on oars, until the situation is total brought under control.
This is coming after the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian affairs, Disasters Management and Social Development, took a steps to redeem people mostly affected by ravage flooding through distribution ot relief materials to 450 households and victims of flood in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of the ministry, who was represented by Federal Commissioner, Imam Sulaiman Ibrahim made the distribution today Sunday in Keffi.
She said that the gesture was to reduce the plight of the flood victims and to improve on their standard of living.
It would be reported that the items distributed included Bags of rice, cartons of tomatoes, gallons of oil, Geishas and clothes among others.
The Honorable Commissioner extended the goodwill message of the President and the Honorable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs.
Receiving the items, members representing Keffi East and West at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Abdulaziz SK Danladi and Hon. Baba Ali Nana thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister for the gesture.
They have assured of their people readiness to continue to support APC at all times to succeed.
It would also be reported that the beneficiaries include vulnerables, people with disability and the handicaps among others.
