The new Chairman of Koton-Karfe, Kogi local government area, Hon. Hussanat Jezhi says her new administration will work towards actualization of new direction cardinal principles where equal distribution of wealth, security, agriculture, peace and unity of purpose will flourish.
She said part of her commitment to attract meaningful development to Kogi LG, effort are ongoing to fix some flood prone areas such as Iribosere, Garage, noting that excavator grader will be brought to dredge the entire River (Osi-Igu) to pave ways for inflow of water in the area.
The acting Chairman who was speaking shortly after taken her oath of allegiance at the council Secretariat on Friday. She appreciated the state government and relevant stakeholders for making it possible for emergence as the new Chairman of the council.
“First and foremost, I register my sincere gratitude to our creator, Almighty God who has given live and to serve. My heartfelt appreciation goes to His Excellency, the amiable, viable and workaholic Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, whom God has used to bestow on us these various appointments which we are occupying today. ”
She recall that what happened 3 days ago transcended her to act as the acting Executive Chairman of the council is an act of God.
While calling for support she appealed to the entire people of Kogi Local government to be patient, and calm as her new leadership seek for their support to enable her succeed in office.
She therefore sought for their loyalty, prayers and support Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in his quest as the next President of the federal republic of Nigeria having shown capacity in addressing security challenges, provide massive infrastructure, youth and women empowerment among other things.
Global Times Nigeria report that the Acting Chairman equally rejig some appointments in the LGC which are as follow:
1. Abdulkarim Muhammed as Chief of Staff to the acting Chairman
2. Colinous Friday as Personal Assistant
3. Umar Muhammed Bako as Supervisor for works and Housing
4. Idris Muhammed as Supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Meanwhile, the supervisor for health remains in his portfolio, while that of Works and Housing move as supervisor for education and social services, that of Agriculture move to Budget and Planning.
