Youths in Kogi Local Government Area have been called upon to attain Western Education to enable them compete favourably with their counterparts wherever they find themselves.
The Maidalam of Koton-Karfe, Hon. (Alh) Abdullahi Idowu Suleiman made the call while speaking with Newsmen shortly after he was conferred with the title by the Ohimege-Igu (Koton-Karfe), Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sanni Isah-Koto (agabaidu), last Friday 25th December 2020 at the palace of the Paramount Ruler of the Area.
Hon. Suleiman Idowu said the importance of education in the present world cannot be over emphasized, stressing that there was need for youths to strive to be educated.
“Education is key. Learning how to read and write and commune fluently is a necessity this days. Even if you have talent or a business idea to showcase to the world, you will need to communicate. I know things may not be that rossy for everyone but, we need to stretch and see that our children and youths attain western education as the future leaders”
“I am also using this avenue to call on youths in Koton-Karfe to be law abiding, shun violence, engage in profitable ventures and remain peaceful in all their conduct”
The Former All Progreesives Congress (APC) Chairmanship Aspirant in the Area, appreciated the Ohimege of Koton-Karfe, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isa-Koto for finding him worthy of the Chieftaincy title, assuring of his continuous contribution to the progress of the Area.
“I thank Almighty Allah for today and I thank His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isa-Koto, the Ohimege of Koton-Karfe (agabaidu) for recognizing me and confer this title on me. Its a thing of joy and I’m so happy about it. I assure him that he will not regret this honor he has done to me, I will continue to contribute to whatever that will bring the needed rapid development to this Area Insha Allah”.
