Ahead of February elections, Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, has revealed that the new policy was act of sabotage against his campaign.

This comes amid the severe socioeconomic hardship that Nigerians are currently experiencing as a result of the persistent fuel shortage and the uncertainty surrounding the contentious new Naira design policy.

The APC candidate claimed that the current administration was trying to sabotage his chances of winning the upcoming elections by turning Nigerians against him through an unexplainable scarcity of petroleum products and newly redesigned Naira notes while speaking to a sizable crowd of supporters and party officials at a presidential campaign rally on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.

However, Tinubu continued by pledging that nothing would stop him from winning because Nigerians would defy the odds and cast their votes for him on election day.

He said in the Yoruba language: ” Let the cost of fuel be high; only they know where the fuel is kept. Keep the Naira and gasoline prices the same, and we’ ll vote and win. Naira notes’ ink can be changed, but what you expect won’ t happen. We will prevail.”

“Put your mind at ease after hearing that the price of gasoline would increase to 200 and 500 Naira a liter, respectively. They oppose the outcome of the upcoming election. They intend to spread it, but they will be unable to do so.”

“They destroyed fuel in the hopes of causing disturbance, but regardless of whether there are motorcycles and tricycles there, we will vote and prevail. This revolution is far superior. “

As was to be expected, he statement made by him drew a lot of attention, and many Nigerians used the comment section to express their opinions.
