Removal of Haruna Iddrisu engineered by tribal machination; it will harm NDC — Youths

Supporters of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, have reportedly beat up Deputy General Secretary of the party Over removal of Honourable Haruna Iddrisu from his position as the Minority Leader in parliament.

Iddrisu who represent Tamale South in parliament was among those affected in the shake up that hit the opposition leadership in parliament.

Global Times Nigeria report that Some supporters loyal to National Democratic Congress, stormed a popular radio station in the Northern region of the country to descend on the Deputy General Secretary of NDC. Mr. Mustapha Gbande.

This unanticipated brutal incident happened during a live interview by Mustapha Gbande in line with the reformation of the party leadership in parliament.

It was also reported that, Mustapha Gbande justified the decision taken by the National Executive Committee of the party on the basis that the party sought for these changes due to the necessity of victory in the 2024 elections.

It was also disclosed that Mustapha said the NDC brags of competent members in their leadership positions and that whenever executives feel it is necessary for changes to be made, such decisions will be made and stand for the growth and progress of the party.
