The Chairman of the Gbagyi Forum in Kogi Local Council of the State, Mr. John Gwazaki (JP), on Monday said with the rate of peaceful coexistence of Kogi LG People, development by the Hon. Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku administration, who sacrifice so much to ensure the council is rated among top develop LGAs in the State.
He called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress and entire people in the Kogi LG, to support the candidature of Barr. Tanko in the forthcoming council poll as the only ideals to for victory and development.
John spoke while addressing a crowd of Gbagyi Extraction on the premises of the Barr. Tanko’s aspiration, who had come to better the lot of his people.
He said, Without any bias, it is clear that the Administrator has made a mark in the council less than four years in office as an appointee.
“He is instrumental to my spiritual journey to Israel, he gave some of us a motorcycles and we are proud of his massive development in the area”.
“We participated actively in the last Guber/NASS elections and we did excellently before, during the polls”.
The KLG DLG, Barr. Ibrahim from Zone C said It is only right for everyone, irrespective of party affiliations, to ensure that the zoning formula or Kogi LG geo-political zones arrangements is sustain for the overall benefits of all the three zones.
He said the zoning arrangement in Kogi LG is still in place and has not elapsed since council election has not be held. Described those elements calling for jettison of zoning arrangement as attention seekers and desperados who only care for themselves and their immediate family.
Hon. Abubakar Isah Ada Abu, said Barr. Tanko administration has shown clear commitment to putting Kogi LG on the path of prosperity and this is definitely the hallmark of a visionary leader like Tanko, Calling on the people of the area to support his Chairmanship aspiration to consolidate on his infrastructural development drive.
According to him, Given the short period and with the steady progress being made by the current administration, there is no doubt that the LG will soon rank among the top best LGAs in the State and country at large if given the chance to continue with his good works he has started. Ada Abu, expressed displeasure with some Kogi LG Leaders who out of selfishness want to input political crisis by jettison zoning arrangement.
He congratulated Barr. Tanko as a man who cannot be defeated by such element who has nothing to shows for as as achievements.
Mr. Yunusa Idris Ohikwo from Zone C, expressed confidence that residents of Kogi, Koton-Karfe LG would back Barr. Tanko aspiration inview of him monumental legacies that is cut across nooks and crannies of the council.
