Gov Bello dispels rumours of his alleged blood relation with Kogi APC candidate, Ododo
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has finally opened up on the alleged blood relation with the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, urging Nigerians to disregard the rumoured entirely as it was created to paint him black with sole aim to score cheap political advantage.
Alhaji Bello stated this during the 3rd Annual GYB Seminar organised for Political and Crime Correspondents and Editors, held at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, said he was shock when the peddlers of fake news took a new job in his personality just to bring down but only laboured in vain.
His word: ” Kogi State APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is not his cousin as is being wrongly insinuated in some quarters.”
The elated Governor explained that the APC Governorship candidate emerged through freely, fair and credible primary.
According to him, his administration was able to broke a 19 year jinx of ethnicity.
“My administration broke the barrier of ethnicity. The State has since moved beyond ethnicity and class difference that my administration inherited”.
“The APC Governorship candidate is an experience young man, competence and has the wherewithal to advance or consolidate on already achieved gains.”
The Governor boasted that his preferred candidate will win the November Governorship election in view of wide acceptability”.
The Governor assured that the Forthcoming November Governorship election in the state will be the most freest, peaceful and violent free election ever held in the state.
” As Governor, we improved the Internally Generated Revenue, blocked loopholes, expanded tax net which soar up our revenue from about N150-N300m I inherited to about N1.5billion”.
” We have enjoyed more than any administration. We have reduced poverty in the State more than ever. We have blocked unintended beneficiaries from having their hands on our resources “.
” My administration has made more millionaires through empowerment, teaching them to fish. We have employed more than any administration in the State “.
Gov. Bello advocated true fiscal federalism as a way out of the nation’s challenge, said his administration will continue to make security his priority.
