The five years of Yahaya Bello administration has been described as very progressive, peaceful, fruitful, people oriented and pragmatic, Hon. Oniwaye Olusegun John, Senior Special Assistant to the Speaker Kogi state House of Assembly on Special Duties has declared.
In his congratulatory message to Alhaji Yahaya Bello on his one year of the 2nd tenure in office, Honourable Olusegun John hailed the Governor for the numerous achievements so far recorded which has transformed the state and its citizens.
He commended the Governor for his doggedness particularly in areas of security and sanitization of the almost bastardised civil service when salaries meant for workers were diverted and channelled to “ghosts”.
According to John, Bello with a determination and a sense of purpose routed out criminals and criminalities across the length and breath of the state,which earned him the Inspector General of Police award of the most conscious security Governor. He is presently the Chairman of security Northern Governors Forum.
The Senior Special Assistant also noted with satisfaction the performance of the Governor on rural infrastructure like electrification, water supply and roads, citing the general lighting of the eastern senatorial district of the state duly accomplished under the able supervision of the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja.
On education, the SSA said the Governor, has promoted the state by establishing the Confluence university of Science and Technology ,Osara, which will solve the problems of admissions and generate more academic activities and create employment for Nigerians.
” Bello is the only Nigerian leader that has so far faulted the sincerity of the advocates of the Corona virus, forcing people to comply with unnecessary lockdown and some alien traditions designed to further cripple the economy of the less privileged”, 
John said.
He therefore prayed to Almighty God to guide and give more wisdom,good health and long life to the Governor to pilot the affairs of the state throughout his tenure.
