Gov Seyi Makinde Read Riot Act On Churches, Mosques, Others Over Noise Pollution

Strong indication has emerged that the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde has announced that it has put machineries in motion to start shutting mosques, churches, event centers and others that engage in noise pollution.

The order was issue through state’s Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Honourable Kehinde Ayoola while featuring on a Fresh FM Radio, Ibadan programme on Saturday morning.

Ayoola said “We got complaints from residents of Awolowo Road in Bodija about noise pollution from Clubs and event centers on the road and we held meetings to warn those involved.

“Engr Makinde’s government will not compromise. All laws of the state must be obeyed by all irrespective of status. When we make arrests or shut down churches, mosques, event centers, we will call the media to witness too.”

Reactions coming from the people of the state described the Governor action as harshly and unfriendly therefore asking him to restraint.

Some also said the Governor had failed and now looking for flimsy excuses to lying on.
