“…As State Amirul – Hajj presents a report to the Governor…”
Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has lauded the 2022 Muslim pilgrims from the state for their peaceful conduct while in the holy land of Saudi Arabia.
Gov. Sule made this known while receiving the report of the hajj exercise from the Speaker of the State legislature, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who is the State Amirul – Hajj.
Sule has underscored the effort of the Speaker, the Amirul Haj for leading a successful 2022 Hajj. exercise.
The Governor has also appreciated the National Hajj Commission and the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for catering to pilgrims from the state.
He has appreciated the prayers of the pilgrims for him, the state, and the country at large.
The Governor has restated his administration continued readiness to support religious institutions.
While presenting the report, Amirul Haj, who is the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi described the exercise as successful.
He explained that all the flights that conveyed pilgrims from Nasarawa State took off and arrived in good time, a gesture he attributed to Gov. Abdullahi Sule owing to the support he accorded the pilgrims welfare board.
The Amirul – Hajj said aside from the death of one of the pilgrims in Mecca, the entire exercise was characterized by the patriotic zeal among other pilgrims who devoted time to praying for the state and the country.
The Speaker urged the Governor to sustain the sponsorship of Muslim pilgrims to Mecca and their Christian Counterparts to Jerusalem.
