A program she handled excellently well and that saw to the development of the Nigeria health care delivery across the country which Kogi State benefited maximally through her influence as program coordinator, 5 ambulances were donated to Kogi State through her effort.

There are many Sure-P projects across the state which came through her intervention, a feat that was commended by the former governor of Kogi State, Rtd Captain Idris Ichalla Wada.

She has been instrumental to the real Igala emancipation which is presently tagged” Igala Agenda ” as she has used her influence to talk to Igala sons and daughters across political divides the need to speak with one voice.

Having studied the political development of our time, the Confluence news gathered through a reliable source that, she has been one time instrumental to the emergence of some House of Representatives and House of Assembly members from Kogi East Senatorial District and also, during the time of Late Prince Abubakar Audu Campaign for the 2015 governorship election, she was one of the personalities that single-handedly brought Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to Late Prince Audu campaign funds raising for the governorship race in 2015 and Atiku made it public that , he was attending the program as a result of his respect for Barr. Halima Alfa and he donated huge amount of money for the support of the 2015 election to Audu and campaign team.

She was Commissioner for Commerce and Industry during the administration of late Prince Abubakar Audu, she took part in the emergence and take off of Obajana Cement Company and the Confluence Beach Hotel, Lokoja.

She was conferred by the former Executive Governor of Kogi State, Late Prince Abubakar Audu as the best performing Commissioner for the year 2000.

Also she was a strong and dedicated member of the Arewa Consultative Forum.

She was one time Assistant Secretary General and National Legal Adviser of the Forum.

Barr. Halima Alfa Gaya PhD has 4 degrees from the famous Sir Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

She has employed hundreds of Kogites and she equally patronized many others with contracts during the Sure- P program.

She is a committed leader of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Kogi State and worked hard for the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and 2019 respectively and also worked for the victory of the president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the just concluded 2023 general elections and all APC candidates from Kogi State.

Having the above information, it is of good concern for the general public to disregard the trending video going around on social media when she was making remarks at a stakeholders meeting prior to the 2019 governorship election of governor Bello second term in office.

To set the record straight, that at that faithful meeting which was called under the instruction of the present president elect , Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu , the then Leader of the All Progressives Congress ( APC).

Tinubu instructed Hon. James Faleke to convey a stakeholders meeting with some selected leaders of late Prince Abubakar Audu political family at Government House, Lokoja and being among the founders and leaders of the party from Kogi State, she was asked to make a remark where she made her position known to the the general public as at then. We have it on a good authority that, the video in circulation is not new and it is the hand-work of her political enemies who are always afraid of her growing popularity as no one is more Igala like her in Igala Kingdom as her family lineage cuts across about 5 LGAs of Kogi East as her grand and great grand parents are from the royal family of the Igala kingdom.

The Confluence news gathered that Late Prince Abubakar Audu once described Hajia Barr. Halima Alfa as one woman who is more than 10 men put together as a result of her political powers and dexterity, a feat that no woman has surpassed in Kogi State.
