Gunmen kidnap former Director Nasarawa Ministry of Education, and 4 others in Toto.

Unknown gunmen have abducted a retired Director of research with Nasarawa state Ministry of Education, Isa Ohikwo Muhammed, and four other persons in Toto, Toto local government area of Nasarawa state.

Family sources disclosed that the kidnappers invaded the former Director’s farm on Monday at about 5 p.m at Yimowa village near Toto, the headquarters of the local government area.

According to the spokesman of the family, Baba Alhassan, the victim was abducted after the day’s work when preparing to return home.

Before the arrival of the invaders, Muhammed had asked his farm help including his Children to go home, as he embarked on finishing touches on the farm.

In a similar vein, four timber sawyers were equally kidnapped at the same place and headed into the bush by the same suspected gunmen.

All efforts to trace the kidnappers and their victims failed and the families promptly reported to the security agencies for necessary action.

However, the abductors of Mallam Isa Muhammed have called the family on phone, claiming responsibility for the crime, but have not yet demanded any ransom.
