Insecurity: Nasarawa Govt. Drafts More Security Personnel To Toto LGA, As bandits Reappear.

Nasarawa state Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has assured that additional security personnel will be drafted to Toto local government area to check the nefarious activities of bandits and kidnappers who have resurfaced in some parts of the local government area.
Responding to complains by stakeholders in Toto Local Government Area over the recent resurgence of criminal elements that have killed two persons, injured 5 including a police officer and 15 others kidnapped, Engineer Sule, announced that a crack squad of security agencies will be drafted to the area to comb the forests and mountains being used as dens.

The stakeholders laid their grievance during the first town hall meeting organised by Nasarawa State government, under the leadership of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, as part of activities marking the second year anniversary of the administration, which held at the Toto LG secretariat, on Wednesday.
Engineer Sule, who assured the people of government’s commitment to protection of lives and property, equally urged residents of the area to assist the government
Other demands made by speakers at the forum include, the provision of electricity and portable water supply to the people of the area, as well as the elevation of the stool of the Ohinoyi Ogye, from second class to first class status.
Earlier the Chairman Toto Local Council, Hon Nuhu Adamu Dauda, while thanking the governor for producing a conducive atmosphere for peace and development to take place, highlighted on some of the development projects initiated in the area by the Engineer Sule administration, stressing that Toto LGA never had it so good like under the present government.

Honourable Dauda listed among other achievements, the influencing of the siting of the Azman Rice and Mills Limited, the Nigeria Floor Mills and Dangote Sugar Refinery, Umuaisha, as well as the installation of the flood early warning system in Umuaisha, among others.
Engineer Sule, thanked the people of Toto Local Government Area, for supporting his administration, explaining that the reason for the visit was to thank them and also hear from them, regarding his stewardship during his first two years in office.
