Global Times Nigeria report that official commemorative event set aside to celebrate International Youth Day in Koton-Karfe, Kogi local government headquarters of the State took place on Saturday, 21, August 2021. With entire leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria led by Comr. Isah Abubakar Ada Abu Odariko.

Comr. Isah Abubakar Ada Abu in his address to mark this year international youth day call on youths to study hard and shun action inimical to their future.
He commended the Stakeholders for carrying the youth of Kogi LG along in scheme of things, noting their support has giving the future leaders a sense of belonging.
He said there is growing recognition that as agents of change, young people are critical actors in conflict prevention and sustaining peace. International Youth Day 2021 is dedicated to celebrating young people’s contributions to conflict prevention and transformation as well as inclusion, social justice, and sustainable peace.
He maintained that council under his watch as coordinator is total committed to sustainable Development, fostering peaceful and inclusive societies and affirmed that development cannot be realized without peace and security”.
“Since the history of youth Council leadership in Kogi LG, we never had it celebrated this way, we have youth interaction and creating unity among the teeming youth in the area”.
“We are also pushing for termination of drugs abuse, cultism, examination malpractice and other crimes so that they can become an ambassadors in the society towards taken good care of their loved ones”.
According to Ada Abu, NYCN is a voice to voiceless youths in Nigeria, Kogi State and Koton-Karfe in particular, the sensitization and creation of awareness they’re getting today were not there before but to the glory of God his leadership is gradually bringing back the lost glory in the system.
He said their aims and decision to visit the orphanage home and hospitals in the area was to identify with the most vulnerable people especially the youths that are being admitted for one illness or the other in order to boost their morale that they’re not alone whatever challenges they’re in.

Among places visited today in Koton-Karfe include, Zenith Clinic and Maternity, Youth Centre, Orphanage home and place of HRM. Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto, Ohimegye Koton-Karfe among others.
While at the hospital the youth leaders pray God to grant the sick one to recover as soon as possible as to reunite with their family members.
Similarly, shortly after the event in Koton-Karfe, Comr. Isah Abubakar Ada Abu in an interview with newsmen commended the Stakeholders for their support towards youth inclusiveness in leadership. He said Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has done so much for the youths in this country and hence to support him to win the 2023 presidential race.
