Jubilation in Kogi LG as Gov Bello made stopover at Chikara to witness decamping ceremony of 480 SDP, PDP, LP members to APC (Video)

Meanwhile, Kogi State Governor, Alhaii Yahaya Bello has made a surprised visit to Chikara, the ward headquarters to witnessed the historic decamping of Social Democratic Party, SDP, People’s Democratic Party, PDP and Labour Party (LP) members who denounced their parties for All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Governor convoy heading to Abuja out of his love for people of Kogi LG stopover to appreciate his people for a job well done especially the support and cooperation his administration received over the years.

Governor Bello who expressed satisfaction with APC activities in Kogi LG and described the area as his second home.

He commended the State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu and entire stakeholders in the area for their collective commitment at ensuring APC and it’s candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who he refer as his successor.

In remark, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu expressed gratitude to God and Governor Yahaya Bello for attracting meaningful development to the area.

He described Governor Bello as a touch bearer of Kogi LG who have sacrifice so much for overall development of the area, hence to continue supporting APC in order to gain more. He said.

According to Gegu, Gov Bello was able to secured Kogi LG against banditry, kidnapping and criminal activities and making the area safe haven for investors.

He has also electrified Kogi LG, graded royal stools, provided hospital and appointed industrious sons and women from the area.

Engr. Gegu who is leading a campaign tour to units and wards in Chikara Zone C area of Kogi LG received 480 members of PDP, SDP and LP into ruling party.

He explained that tour was part of effort to galvanised support for APC candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of November 11 election.

Mallam Bagu, the leader of the decampees said they saw good reason to join APC, having witnessed tremendous achievements under 7 years of Governor Yahaya Bello.

According to him, they’re tired of losing election that they decided to join the winning team to develop their ward and LG at large.
