Kogi Appeal Verdict: Barr. Tanko Congratulates Gov. Bello, Says Victory Will Sustain Stability And Unity

Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has been congratulated by immediate past Administrator of Koton-Karfe, Kogi Local Government Council, Hon. Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa over  his victory at the Appeal Court on Saturday in Abuja.

A statement issued by his Media Aide, Yahaya Idris on Saturday in Lokoja, quoted the former council boss as commending the Governor for his bravery and courage  in coming out victorious at the just concluded legal battle.

Barr. Tanko advised those who contested with the Governor during election and later approach court for redress should join forces with him in order to consolidate on already achieve gains.

“He said Bello led administration will continue to sustain Kogi in stability and unity on the altar of justice, equity, fairness, freedom, human rights and democracy.

According to the legal luminary, “Court is part of our democratic process and it must be used when necessary if only to achieve justice, stability, unity and progress for our state and country at as a whole,” he said.

Barr. Tanko who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs commended the Appellate Court for “its courage in dismissing what was clearly an illegality to affirm Bello who is the rightful owner of the crown.

“The court has once again restore the hope of the common man as against a desperate attempt to change the will of the Kogi populace, it has saved Kogi from great embarrassment and said the Governor victory was of saving and strengthening our democracy.” he stated.
