Kogi concessions Referral Hospital, Okene, for sustainability of equipments.
IDRIS AHMED, LOKOJA:. Kogi State Government has entered into a concession agreement with a private Company, Zenith Medicare and Kidney Center to manage the Reference Hospital Okene.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Zakari Usman disclosed this on Thursday at a press conference in Lokoja.

Dr Usman said Governor Yahaya Bello has approved a new management structure as well as new equipments for the hospital.
According to him, the concession agreement came on the heels of the government’s desire to ensure sustainability of these equipment and facilities in the hospital.
He noted that the company has a world-class reputation and highly recommendable in maintenance and management.

Dr. Usman said the Reference Hospital is a tertiary medical institution fully equipped with cutting-edge technology to provide health relief to the people of the state, and reduce medical tourism in Nigeria.
He also revealed that the Governor also approved the purchase of more equipment for the state specialist hospital in Lokoja, Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital Anyigba, and the Ultra Modern General Hospital and among others.
