Kogi CoS Pharm. Asuku Emerges New Chairman Of ABU Zaria Alumni, Kogi State Chapter

The Chief of Staf to Kogi state governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Moh’d Jamiu Asuku was elected unopposed as the new chairman of the ABU Alumni Association (Kogi Chapter)

The Kogi State Chief Of Staff was also inaugurated i. n his new position as the Chairman, ABU Alumni today.

In a release signed by Ozigis Abubakar, special assistant to the Chief of Staff, recalled that Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku was a Member of the Executive Committee of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS) (ABU Chapter) during his days as Pharmacy student; A two term senator for Pharmacy department, a pharmacist at the Maritime Academy, Oron Akwa Ibom State, a former DG protocol to Kogi State Government and now Kogi State Chief Of Staff and Chairman, ABU Alumni (Kogi State Chapter).

In his address, Pharm. Asuku hailed all the Alumni of ABU, starting from His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello, Accountant General, Alh. Momoh Jibril, Auditor General, Hon. Yakubu Okala, Commissioner For Finance, Hon. Idris Asiru, Attorney General of the state, Hon. Muhammed Sanni (SAN) and all the prominent and respected members of the ABU Alumni.

In his speech, Pharm. Asuku said: “My fellow colleagues, I urge everyone to contribute to the growth and development of our dear state, Kogi State, and by extension, our renowned Ahmadu Bello University Zaria; the University with the largest student population in Nigeria, which had produced so many accomplished Nigerians who have contributed – and are still contributing – to the progress of diverse sectors of Nigerian society.”

Adding that the Alumni had made a lot of impacts on ABU students and also the graduates that have contributed to nation building over the years.

Pharm. Asuku also assured everyone present at the inauguration of using his new position as the Chairman of ABU Alumni (Kogi Chapter) and along with his newly inaugurated excos to move the association forward and also working tirelessly to execute the plans and projects of the association.

According to him, the association will continue to open its doors to ensure that the university benefit from its worthy and distinguished alumni.
