The crisis that could have rocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the local government election in Kogi state has been averted.

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kogi local government area of Kogi state, has set a pace for other LG areas in the state to settle crisis that couldl rock its foundation, as it endorsed Abdullahi Idowu Suleiman as the candidate for the December 2020 election.

Rising from the crucial meeting , held on September 27, 2020, the stakeholders resolved that the earlier zoning arrangement be altered to accommodate the Koton karfe /Girinya in zone A.

The stakeholders took into consideration of Girinya axis not occupying the Chairmanship position since the adoption of the zoning arrangement.

The outcome of the stakeholders meeting signed by the Chairman of the Stakeholders forum, Alhaji Shuaibu A Alhassan and the APC Secretary of Kogi LGA, Abubakar Bala Mus, said Abdullahi Idowu Suleiman has been endorsed.

The forum that endorsed the aspirant included prominent present and past Commissioners , Special Adviser, retired and serving top government officials from the LGA.

Kogi LGA is known for its adopted zoning formula in elections and political appointments and want the status quo maintained to ensure that the enshrined policy of peace, Justice and equity prevails.

The forum therefore appealed to the government to respect the decision of the people so as to ensure sustained peace, equity justic, unity and peaceful coexistence among the people.
