Kogi Wins first position In Anrin, Save the Children World Bank Project.

Kogi state government has been commended over its prompt payment of counterpart fund to the World Bank assisted projects.

The state came first among the states across the federation that are participating in the world bank Accelerated nutritional project in Nigeria “Project ANRIN” other wise known as Save the children international for quality service provision

Ime Samuel Etukudor, Kogi state Team lead Project Director of Anrin Project gave the commendation while fielding questions from newsmen during a one day stakeholders meeting when it presented its score cards of the project to target groups and numbers of benefitaries in the eleven local government areas .

The Team lead Director also hailed the state government under the purposeful and visionary leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello on the for regularly remitting counterpart fund for the world bank which has brought the success story being experienced and celebrated in the state

Anrin Project according to Ime Samuel Etukudor is in existence to provide nutritional food supplement like de-worming drugs, vitamin A’ and malaria drugs to children below the age of five years and pragnant women.

The state Team lead Project Director of Anrin disclosed that it operations is measured in every six month and has successfully rounded up the first phase in the second year stressing that their dash board is indicating 98.1%, which has surpassed the 90% regarded as a bench mark.

”We’re gathering here today to deliver our score cards to stakeholders and getting constructive feed backs from them which will serve as an encouragement to enable us to
forge ahead.” Etukudor said.

He explained further that for the second round of the project, Stakeholders are expected to put forward suggestions and recommendations of how to improve on their working relationship , provision of quality services to the target communities.

Ime Samuel Etukudor hailed stakeholders from the participating nine local government areas of Kogi east, including Kogi, Lokoja and Ajaokuta for the watershed achievements attained in the first phase tasking them that more quality efforts needed to be deployed in the period ahead to enable the project achieve its set goals.

”The Ice on the cake is that Kogi state came first of all Anrin states in the federation for quality service provision adding that the feat achieved has made the state in the celebration mood and made realistic with the political will of the state Governor, Alh.Yahaya Bello”.Ime Samuel Etukudor further stated.
