Kokona East Lawmaker Ogazi shares N10,000 to over 300 women in Nasarawa

Hon Daniel Ogah Ogazi, Member, representing Kokona East Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has today Thursday distributed N10,000 each to over 300 women in his constituency as part of efforts to put smile on the faces of women.

Our correspondent who captured the distribution of funds to various beneficiaries says it was meant to improve on the standard of living of women and that of their family members in his constituency.

Ogazi, who is the Deputy Majority Leader of the House made the donation at his residence in Garaku, Kokona Local Government area, Thursday.

It would be reported that the gesture was under Hon Ogazi’s Women Empowerment Scheme where the women who were drawn from the five electoral wards that constitute Kokona East constituency mostly widows and the less privileged. .

Presenting N10, 000 each to the beneficiaries, the Majority Leader, Kokona Local Government Legislative Council and Director General, Daniel Ogazi Campaign Organization, Comrade Affiku Kuje, said the money was in continuation of the annual empowerment of the Lawmaker.

According to him, Fifty women were selected each from the five electoral wards through a committee that was set up in that regards.

Ogazi called on the women to ensure proper utilization of the fund,

” I want to urge the women to use the money to start a small business to enable them become self reliant.

Ogazi assured of his continuous purposeful leadership to the people of the constituency.

On their parts, the council leader, Kokona Legislative arm, Abu Akuki Philip, and Special Assistant to Gov. Abdullahi Sule, Manasseh Nidan, advised the beneficiaries not to be deceived by selfish politicians just as they urged them to replicate same gesture to the member by voting him come 2023

Some of the beneficiaries interviewed Saudatu Hassan and Sa’adatu Bala, appreciated the lawmaker for the kind gesture and prayed God to reward him abundantly.
