The Kolo Babes Football Club crushed defeated Daniel Academy football club 1-0 to win the Nigeria Football Coaches Association’s trophy in Kwali, Abuja.

The final football match competition, organized by the Kwali chapter of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association’s, which held at Kwali mini stadium on Thursday, after Kolo Babes defeated Daniels football Academy, during first half of the 90 minutes play.

Speaking at the end of the competition, leader of Kwali chapter of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Bulus Tanko, said the competition was funded by Ringardas Nigeria Limited with aimed to enhance development of grassroot football in the council.

He appreciated the chairman of the council,. Danladi Chiya, for his support and encouragement for the success of the competition and development of football in the area.

He, therefore, called on the management of Ringardas Nigeria Limited, to make the competition as an annual event, which he said will go a long way to enhance and unity among youths and communities across the council.

“And as i promised in my election manifestos to do my best to develop football in Kwali, you can see the efforts we the excos has put in place to enhance football development which include the participation of our girls in the FCT FA women league for the first time,” he said.

Also speaking, the managing director of Ringardas Nigeria Limited, represented by the head of cooperate affairs department of the company, Mrs Nana Shuaibu, said the company decided to fund the competition in order to make the youth look physically fit and enhance unity among them.

She said the competition was also funded in order for the youth not stay idle, saying the competition will distract them from engaging in any form of social vices in the society.

She congratulated the Kolo Babes and Daniels football Academy as well as other teams that participated in the competition, while she pledged the company’s continuous support towards sports development in the area.

Global Times Nigeria report that, 16 football teams participated in the competition, which ended in final between Daniels football and Kolo Babes football club.
