KSHA Deputy Speaker named Special Person’s House After Gov. Yahaya Bello late Mother
The Deputy Speaker and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Ahmed Muhammad, has built and equipped a house for special person’s with disability in Ankpa Local Government Area.
Performing the ceremony, the Deputy Speaker stated that, the House is named after the late mother of the Governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Nana Hauwau Ozoiohu Bello Special People’s Home.
The Deputy Speaker stated that, the naming of the house after the late mother of the Governor is to show an appreciation for a life well spent by carrying every children as her own while alive and equally nurtured a man who become a leader with wisdom, discipline and love. May Allah continue to grant her soul internal rest.
As part of efforts geared towards meeting the objectives of Rt. Hon. Ahmed Muhammad in the State House of Assembly among others was to see how people with disability are inducted into the societal activities with equal rights and privilege.

One among the steps significant to realise this lofty height was the introduction of a Bill to establish the disability office, guaranteed and to protect the rights of persons living with disability and other matters connected there in some times ago.
The Bill was received with a huge support from the wife of the Governor, Hajiya Rashidat Bello who also brought a similar Bill which was harmonized, passed into law and assented by the Governor.
The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who was represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, used the occasion to appreciate God for seeing this special day “Easter Sunday ” that Mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He said, Christ died for man kind and described Judas as an enhancer of destiny.
So, having said this, when people gathered against you, don’t take them as enemies, but people who God will use to help quicken destiny planned by God.
He went further to retreat on Governor Bello Presidency in 2023 and described it as a greater task and more greater than any office in the land and Urged the people who are yet to believe in it to key into the project without further delay.
He equally stated that, in 2015 Kogi State Governorship election, some people do not believe, but God did it.
Also in 2019 Kogi State Governorship election, some people doubted so much, but God did it also and the same God that has been doing it is still alive and he will forever be there to do the needful for the victory come 2023 presidential election.
He commended the All progressives Congress party officials from the area, all elected and appointed officials, most especially, the Executive Chairman Ankpa Local Government Area, Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Abagwu for ensuring continued peace in the area.
Dignitaries present were, the Personal Assistance to the All progressives Congress national care taker committee chairman (APC) Hon Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, the Onu Ankpa, Acting Eje Ankpa, the representative of the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, the Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, the Provost College of Education Ankpa, Chairman of Persons with disability from national and State including all their executives members, Chief Ambassador Tony Oga, state focal person Action Aid among others.
One among the beneficiaries of the House project, Mamuna Zaria who said, she has been in the present condition for decades thanked Rt. Hon. Ahmed Muhammad for remembering them and making Laws for their well being and prayed for Allah to bless him and others who have contributed in making this day a reality.
