Ahead of the General Elections, hope has raised for Member Representing Lafia North Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali as 12 Aspirants of the Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded party primaries for Lafia North Constituency have endorsed and drummed support for his victory at the polls.
12 of the aspirants converged on Manyi Royal Hotel Lafia today Monday and endorsed the candidature of the Lawmaker who is seeking for third term in office.
They have solicited for the support of all and sundry to enable Hon Alkali and other APC candidates to succeed in February and March elections.
It would be reported that even though, Mrs Juliana Esla Dauda, the major contender was not in the meeting but her campaign Director General, Suleiman Galadima was in attendance and called for their inclusion in the Alkali’s campaign council to ensure the victory of the party.
Also recalled that early after his victory at the court, all the APC Chairman of all the electoral wards of the constituency as well as major players, tribal groups and associations have passed vote of confidence and declared their support for him.
Addressing the former aspirants and their supporters cutting across the six electoral wards of Lafia North constituency, the Flag Bearer, Hon Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the House and Chairman Committee on LG and Chieftaincy Affairs said the meeting is a clear demonstration that APC is winning the forthcoming polls.
Hon Alkali, said that following the meeting, his campaign council would be reconstituted to accommodate all interests.
He warned his supporters against act capable of truncating the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) .
The lawmaker promised to move to nooks and crannies of his constituency to campaign and solicit support for the Presidential Candidate of the party, Sen.Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other candidates of the ruling party.
The lawmaker called on the members of the rulling All Progressives Congress to let go of internal crises from the fallout of primary election and work for the victory of the party in the forthcoming polls.
Earlier, the Convener of the forum, Mohammed Uba Arikya who was the Former Speaker Lafia Legislative Council said it was high time stakeholders set aside their differences and champion the course of the party, hence the meeting,
He assured Hon Alkali that they would work tirelessly for him and other APC candidates during the elections.
Uba Arikiya also called on people of the constituency to rally round Hon Alkali and other APC candidates come February and March elections.
