Manchester united are reportedly planning a bid for Paris Saint Germain and former Everton midfielder,Idris Gueye this summer.
The 30-year old Senegal international joined the Parisians from Everton last summer for £29m. According to reports in France, the Ligue 1 champions, do not see Gueye as a long term option considering his age and could as well cash in on the defensive midfielder.
The Senegal international has grown from strength to strength since his move to England in 2015 with Aston Villa. He switched to Everton in 2016 and there he established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe.
The Senegal international made 31 appearances for the Parisians last season as the French Ligue 1 was ended prematurely due to the coronavirus. He still has three years left in his current deal with Paris Saint Germain and could cost the Red devils values in the worth of €40m.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently building a team at Old Trafford with the aim of returning Manchester united back to the glory days. Last summer, he signed Harry Maguire, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka while Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo joined the Red devils during the January transfer window. Although, they’ve been firing in attack, many still believe that the defensive line and the defensive midfield position still need improvements. With Matic not getting any younger,bGueye will be an upgrade on the lanky midfielder whose best years are surely behind him.
