Meet Kogi State Civil Service Commission Boss, Barr Tanko Musa, An astute administrator par excellence

Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Honourable (Barr.) Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku has been nominated amongst eminent personalities across the nation expected to be honour by Nigerianpost Newspaper during it’s annual public lecture series slated to hold on August 24th, 2023 in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.
Barrister Tanko is a legal luminary, former council chairman, erstwhile Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Government, NBA Chairman Lokoja branch and now Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commission will be presented with an award in recognition of his outstanding leadership and repositioning of civil service in the State.
On his nomination, Barr Tanko expressed gratitude to God and entire management of the Nigerianpost Newspaper for finding him worthy to nominated as a finalist in these awards alongside some very successful and influential people l in the industry.
The Kogi Civil Service boss, says it’s gladden his heart to see the successes of people in various endeavours and services being celebrated.
He said the award will spur him to continuing to raise awareness around the importance of a diverse and inclusive leadership and congratulated other nominees and wish them the very best of the upcoming program.
Speaking on the slated program, the Chairman/, CEO of the NigerianPost Newspaper in a statement made available to Global Times Nigeria, said the Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service, Honourable
(Barr ) Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku will be receiving an award at the upcoming Kogi @32 in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to the statement event with a theme: “Sustaining Unity, Peace of the Confluence, This House Must Not Fall” slated to hold on 24th of August, 2023 by 10 am prompt.
Also part of the program, a paper will be presented by the vice chancellor Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi.
While Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahya Bello is to serve as special guest of honour.
The 2023 annual lecture will be under the chairmanship of Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Kutepa, the Chairman / CEO Waltersmith patrolman.
HRH. Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Koto, the Ohimegye Igu Koton-karfe will serve as royal father of the day.
Global Times Nigeria reports that a special lecture publication chronicle profile activities as well as documenting some prominent politicians, legal luminaries, business mogul and entertainers among others would be captured in the Nigerian Post Newspaper’s Hardcopy and online publications respectively.

Brief Biography of Barrister Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku
Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa is a native of Osuku community in Koton-Karfe south east ward of Kogi local government area of the State, was born to Alhaji Musa Suleiman Osuku and Mallama Aishat Musa.
He had his primary school education between 1975 – 1980 where he got his first school leaving certificate, FSLC, in 1986
He proceeded to Government Secondary School, GSS, Koton-Karfe between 1980 – 1986 and obtained his West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) certificate.
Barr Tanko proceeded to prestigious Bayero University Kano for School of General Studies (SGS) between 1986 – 1987 and was admitted into Faculty of law in the same institution BUK between 1987 – 1992 where he bagged an LLB (Hons) Second Class Upper Degree.
He immediately proceeded to Nigerian Law School between 1992 – 1993 where he was called to the Nigeria Bar as Solicitor and Advocate of Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Barr. Tanko had his compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in Anambra State at Shollom Chambers Nnewi between 1993 – 1994 and was given an award and certificate of best performance.
He started his legal practice at Aliu Saiki & Co Okene from 1995 – 1999, served as Legal Adviser to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly from 1999 – 2003. Worked at A. O Musa & Co. Law Firm as Legal Practitioner from 2003 – May 2016.
Within this period, he was elected as Chairman Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lokoja Branch from 2001 – 2013.
Barr. Tanko has been in politics all through the period of defunct ANPP, ACN and now APC.
Barr. Tanko was also Federal Constituency Director of Campaign for Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello representing Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency.
Due to his vast knowledge, commitment, hard-work and loyalty to the struggle, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello appointed him as Administrator of Kogi LGA on 6th May, 2016 and took Oath of office on 9th May, 2016.
He also served as Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on LG & Chieftaincy Affairs and now serving as Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commission.
He is sincere, prudent, committed to service delivery and has never been found wanton in any assignment assigned to him.
