The Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ad-hoc cmmittee on COVID-19, has expressed satisfaction with the presentation done by the state Auditor General, Riyanu Lamus over COVID-19 finances in the state.

To this end, the committee has suspended its invitation extended to the chairman of the State Task Force on COVID-19 Dr Emmanuel Akabe who is the state deputy governor.

Hon  Abdullahi Dahiru Angibi, the Chairman of the committee who  made this known while speaking with newsmen in Lafia today said there was no need for the deputy governor to appear before the committee adding that it has gotten satisfactory explanation from the state Auditor General regarding finances of Covid 19 in the state.

He noted that aside the convincing answers provided by the Auditor General he has also submitted relevant documents on the general information and all other financial documents including that of international donors support.

It would be recalled that on  Dec.2, 2020, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ad-hoc committee on COVID-19, has summoned the Chairman of the state Task Force on COVID-19, Dr Emmnauel Akabe, who is the state deputy governor to appear before the committee on Thursday, Dec.10, 2020.
