Nasarawa assembly says it will continue to partner executive for devt., to retain its Nat’l Ranking —- Information Chairman

Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has reiterated its commitment to effectively synergize with the executive arm of government for development to continue to thrive in the State.

Hon Jonah Ali Dizaho, the Chairman, House Committee on Information gave the assurance during Media parley with State House Correspondents in Lafia today.

Hon Dizaho said that enhance synergy between the legislative and executive arms were necessary for development to thrive in the state.

The Chairman also said that the House would continue to work in unity irrespective of party’s affiliations.

” We are working in unity to ensure that our people get the much needed dividends of democracy,we are now one indivisible body and we will continue to support our leader, the Rt. Hon. Speaker to succeed ” he said.

The Chairman also assured that the House would continue to enact laws and passed resolutions to sustain its second national ranking.

He said facts on ground indicates that Nasarawa State House of Assembly is next to Lagos state in terms of lawmaking and the Seventh Assembly is working on consolidating on gains given the mutual understanding between the legislative and executive arms of government in the State

” We are working tirelessly to compete or surpass the records of Lagos Assembly,” he said.

Hon Dizaho also assured that the committee would project the activities of the House and that of the State Government positively.

” We will be engaging media consultants and heads of media houses with the view to promoting contents that will entrench peace and unity in the state,” he said.

The Chairman also said that it would engage government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Parastatals in the State to ensure that all bills and resolutions passed by the house are implemented to promote good governance in the State.

Hon Dizaho urged the people of the state to pray and support Speaker Balarabe and Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

The Chairman further called on the people of the State and Nigerians to live in peace, unity and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
