Nasarawa Assembly committed to making laws with legislative backing on oil exploration – Says Speaker Balarabe.
Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, says legislation will be promulgated by the House to give full backing and guide oil exploration to have direct bearing on the lives of the masses in the State.
The speaker made the position known while playing host to community leaders, sons and daughters of Kokona LGA led by the Deputy Majority Leader Hon Danladi Jatau (APC Kokona West) in Lafia today.
The Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi said Nasarawa State is at the verge of accelerated development following the discovery of oil in the State.
He assured them that quality legislation will be provided to ensure the exploration of the oil is carried out without any hindrance to benefit the people of the State.
“We will ensure that legislation will be provided to ensure oil exploration in the State is carried out effectively
“As this will go a long way to ensure speedy development in the state,” he said
Speaker Balarabe added that Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s led government is people driven while calling for support for the Governor to succeed.
He assured the people of Kokona LGA that their request on political appointments will be tabled.
Earlier, the former Executive Chairman Kokona Local Government, Bashiru Sharubutu Abubakar said the community leaders, sons and daughters of Kokona LGA led by member representing Kokona West and the Deputy Majority Leader Hon Danladi Jatau were on solidarity visit to the Speaker on his election as Speaker of the Seventh Assembly.
He appreciated the Speaker for supporting the emergence of their son, Hon Danladi Jatau as the Deputy Majority Leader of the Assembly.
Abubakar assured the Speaker of their loyalty and support at all times.
He also assured Gov. Abdullahi Sule of their readiness to support his government to succeed.
On his part, the Deputy Majority Leader of the House Hon. Danladi Jatau commended the Speaker for his all inclusive administration urging him to sustain the spirit thus re-assuring the APC led Government of Engr. Abdullahi Sule of his people support at all times to succeed.
