Nasarawa Health Commissioner, Dr Gwamna hails Gov Sule’s victory at Appeal Court, says it’s a victory for democracy, rule of law

Following the months old legal battle over who become the Governor of Nasarawa State after the March 18 governorship election which saw the emergence of Engineer Abdullahi Sule and Dr. Emmanuel Akabe as Governor and Deputy Governor, was yesterday laid to rest as the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja upheld their victory.
Reacting to the development, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Gaza Gwamna and chieftain of governing All Progressives Congress, APC, has congratulated Governor Abdullahi Sule and his Deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe over Thursday’s Court of Appeal ruling, which set side the tribunal ruling removing him and affirmed that he was duly elected by the majority of Nasarawa electorate.
The Nasarawa Health Commissioner, in a statement on Friday said the Appeal Court verdict reflected the unprecedented support the people freely gave him and a positive step towards Gov Sule’s impactful administration.
The Commissioner equally described the verdict as a “victory for democracy and the rule of law especially in protecting the inalienable rights of eligible citizens to freely participate in the electoral process without any form of hindrance.”
Dr. Gwamna lauded Governor Sule for always remaining focused and upholding democratic principles, adding that such leadership enable has provided foresight, peace coexistence amongst citizens and meaningful development across the 13 local areas of the State.
He equally commended the judiciary for its stabilizing role in the polity.
The party chieftain, urged APC members and supporters across the State to close ranks and remained supportive to the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
