New Year Message: Onah Toto Says Past Year Is Indeed Full Of Challenges, Calls For Love, Peace, Unity

The second class ruler of Toto Kingdom in Toto Local Government Council of Nasarawa State, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Umar Azaki in his new year message released on Friday 1st January 2021 described past year 2020 as full of Challenges, urging his wards to move on into the new with with hope of good things to come.

Ohinoyi Azaki gave the assurance on his verified facebook account where he says: “To some it is a year to remember but to many it is a year to forget. 2020 came like a swift wind and breezed through the world with shocking waves and turbulence, and the consequences were serious pandemic crisis, financial upheavals and economic downturn amongst other challenges that threatened our existence on the surface of earth”.

The royal father went further to say “We thrived and survived the adversity against all odds; retrospectively we are grateful we were not lost in the abyss of predicaments that dulled the light of year 2020″.

Looking ahead, we are hopeful and confident of a favourable and prosperous 2021 and again we give gratitude in advance for all the goodies this year has in stock for us.

“We may have experienced 2020 differently, but the fact that we are alive today to witness 2021 is a great privilege and gratitude should be the first word coming out of our mouths – ALHAMDULILLAH. The ultimate message for year 2021 is not to allow selfish interest to override our love for Toto Community. To forge ahead and actualize our collective goal of #
Toto LG, we must embrace LOVE, PEACE AND UNITY”.

In line with the above statement from His Royal Majesty, Ohinoyi Ogye Onah of Toto, we wish all Toto indigenes and citizens a happy and prosperous New Year.

On the second wave of Covid-19, His Royal Majesty has this to say;

“Dear all, I want to call our attention to the fact that our common enemy of Corona Virus is still hanging around, and until it takes its full exit from our society, we cannot afford to let our guards down. The second wave is ravaging the world as we speak. I hereby appeal to everyone to continue to abide by the safety guidelines outlined by the World Health Organization, Presidential Task Force and Nasarawa State Government Task Force on COVID-19”.

In a statement Signed by Shuaibu M. Kani, Chief Press Secretary to Onah of Toto says washing hands under running water with soap for about 20 seconds, or with alcohol based sanitizer; the used of face mask, maintaining social distance, and other safety measures highlighted by the Covid-19 officials saddle with the responsibility should be adhered to in order to keep us safe.
