Nigeria @61: We Must Come Together To Show Acts Of Patriotism – Says Kwali Council Chairman

The Chairman Kwali Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Hon Danladi Chiya, has called on leaders and the led in the council, Nigeria and FCT at large to come together, eschew bitterness and show acts of patriotism to make the nation better.

Chiya, made the call through his personal Assistant on media and publicity, Prince Babangida Sarki Kwali, in his message to mark the nation’s 61 independent day celebration, noted that Nigeria is going through some challenges at the moment as a nation that required collective efforts to tackle such challenges.

He said as the country mark its 61 years of independence, government and the governed must cooperates, eschew bitterness and show acts of patriotism so that the nation can be better, not only for the generation but for the yet unborn.

According to him, since the country mark its independence anniversary at 61, there is every hope the citizens can still see light at the darkest end of the tunnel.

He, therefore, said that time has come for the good people of the council to begin a new song of progress and love, while discussing on what else could be done to move the council to a greater heights.

The chairman, said though there may be disagreement and issue that may challenge People’s faith in the council, which he said was undeniable that people have more ties that bind them together.

“And we must not succumb to the discordant tunes that may threatened our corporate existence irrespective of our tribe, ethnicity, religion, cultural background or political affiliation,” he said.
