Nigeria At 62: We Have Potentials To Be One of The Greatest Nations, Baiwa.

Immediate Past APC National Woman Leader, Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma says Nigeria has the potentials of becoming of one the great nation .

Mrs Umar- Eluma made this observation in a media chat to mark Nigeria’s 62 years of independence celebration holding on Saturday, Ist October, 2022.

She eulogised the country’s rich culture, talent and resources, saying harnessing them to our advantage nationally and internationally will be desirable.

“Happy Independence Day to a Nation with the potential to be one of the greatest Nations on Earth! ”

“We are a Nation filled with so much culture, talent and resources that we could individually and politically harness to our utmost advantage on the national and global scale. However there is still room for growth, which will require alot of work, strategy, and collective cooperation to get us there.”

The former national woman leader says no nation thrives devoid of challenges, stating that Nigeria is not an exception in the comity of nations, with light at end of the tunnel.

“We may have our challenges, some of which may seem insurmountable at this period in time. But history has shown that no great nation has emerged without going through its own hurdles. If you were to look at some of the developed countries we constantly compare ourselves to and who are hundreds of years older, you would see their history is marred with stories of travails, collapse, re-emergence and finally greatness. That is not to say that we must repeat the mistakes of these nations, or we must go through similar circumstances to achieve our dreams.”

She calls for collective commitment, determination and responsibilities to achieve both collective and individual vision for a prosperous Nigeria.

“However for a nation such as ours, some things are inevitable that we must go through. Now more than ever, as this election season is upon us, we must choose the best of leaders to achieve that vision, while also individually doing our part to sustain it for future generations.”

Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma prayed for continuous peace, security, unity across the country.

“May this new age of our Nation usher in Peace, Security, Unity, and Riches for Nigeria and Nigerians! “
