NSIP Focal Persons Forum Gets New EXCO, As Imran Usman Jibrin From Nasarawa emerged National Treasurer
A new Executive Committee for the National Forum of National Social Investment Programme, Focal Persons has been constituted .
A Press release signed by Chinenye Nwaogu, General Secretary, said the selection of the new Exco was timely when the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, headed by the hardworking Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouk, is restructuring the NSIP to give it a better outlook and a more effective implementation of all the components.
According to the statement, the new Exco was inaugurated on the 5th January 2022 at the NAF Conference Center Hotel Abuja after the annual review meeting on NSIP
The release gave the names of the new Executive Committee members as Chairman – Abdulkadir M Nasir, FP Katsina , Vice Chairman – Dr Sumaye Hamza, FP Plateau, and Secretary -Chinenye Nwaogu, FP Abia
Others include Treasurer – Imran Usman Jibrin, FP Nasarawa, PRO – Usman Buhari Ali, FP Kebbi, Organising Secretary – Dr Terris Demsa, FP Benue, Welfare Secretary – Victor Olumuyiwa Kolade, FP Ekiti.
Others include Ex Officio- Amina Katagum, FP Bauchi, ,Financial Secretary- DR.Godwin Akpan, FP Akwa Ibom, PRO 2 -Sulieman Abdulkareem O., FP Kogi, Barr. Amina Musa FP Niger will serve as Legal Adviser.
The new Chairman, commenting after the inauguration of the Exco said that the programmes will be geared and repositioned towards achieving the objectives of Mr President in lifting out 100 million people out of poverty through the use of the social safety-net interventions.
He further said that the Exco will do everything possible within their responsibility to ensure effective implementation of the Social Investment Programmes of the Federal Government in all the States and the FCT by bringing more participation of the State Governments.
