Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has expressed satisfaction with the commitments of the various house standing committees during oversight functions saying that the Nasarawa Lawmakers have key into what is happening at the National Assembly.
The Speaker who was speaking during plenary when members resumed after a two weeks of oversight functions said he is happy with the performance of the various house standing committees and urged them to sustain the spirit.
“I appreciate Hon. Members especially standing committees for your commitment during oversight Functions. It is part of our constitutional responsibilities”
“Members and indeed the House deserves commendation. You have indeed demonstrated your love and commitment to the development of the State, whatever one says negative about this exercise does not disturb us”
“Nasarawa State House of Assembly is one among few in the country that have taken queue in what is happening in the National Assembly interms of regorous oversight functions. I urged you to keep it up” the Speaker added.
The Speaker emphasized that what members are doing no doubt is seriously grooming and training them as lawmakers.
