Nasarawa Speaker recieves PDP Lawmaker Defection letter To APC, Assure Of Equal Treatment.

Speaker, Nasarawa state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has during Monday’s sitting read before the House letter of defection from PDP to APC by Hon. John Osewu, Member Representing Doma South at the State Assembly.

The letter titled “letter of Resignation from PDP to APC” contained two major reasons for the lawmaker’s defection which are crisis rocking the party from Ward to Local Government and State levels leading to court litigations, and the developmental strides and inclusive administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule are what motivated him to join APC.

The Speaker who describe the defection of Hon. Osewu as timely, called on members from the other party to join APC as the door is widely open.

“It is a wise decision taken by Hon. Osewu, I congratulate and welcome him to the APC family. As members of APC we welcome new members and I assured you more will be joining us soon.

“Some have spoke to me privately and I know they will soon join us so that together with the Governor we will continue to champion the course of Peace, Unity and Progress of the State”. Speaker Balarabe added.

Hon. Mohamed Alkali (APC Lafia North) deputy chief whip and deputy chairman house committee on Judiciary who stood at the plenary to respond on behalf of the defected member who was not at the day sitting disclosed that he has received and welcomed Hon john Osewu chairman house committee on Judiciary last Tuesday when he submitted his letter of defection from PDP to APC.

“Hon. Osewu asked me to express his gratitude to the Speaker and Honorable colleagues, he said he was motivated by the developmental strides of Gov. Abdullahi Sule and specifically the leadership style of the Speaker.
