Rain, flooding wreak Havoc, destroy properties in Toto as YAN calls for urgent intervention
Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) Toto Local Government Chapter, has Called for urgent intervention by Nasarawa state Government to construct drainages from Toto Local Government secretariat to rafin kunama, to avoid flooding in the area.
The Speaker of YAN in Toto Local government, Yusuf Adamu Omehi, made the call while inspecting destruction of houses and food item occasion as a result of last night heavy downpour which led to the cutting off the access roads that lead to some neighboring villages and kogi state.
According to Adamu Omehi, the area affected are Adamu Yakoyako along Toto west primary school, Angwuwan Adawo, late AbdulKareem Ohekwu road among others.
The Toto LG YAN helmsman equally called on critical stakeholders as well as sons and daughters of Toto to come to the aid of affected people before the intervention by the state government.
He used the opportunity and commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his commitment towards initiating projects that has direct impact on the lives of Nasarawa state citizens, calling for support to enable him succeed.
