Roberth Olowu Mandate not negotiable – Family speaks

The Olowu family unit of Okah in Ehwerhe community in Delta State have condemned the clandestine activity of some elements who do not mean well for the community, had also taken over the leadership of Ehwerhe community.

In a statement issued by Chief Mathias Olowu on behalf of the Olowu family unit of Okah family, wishes to condemned the plot by some group secretly working to truncate the mandate freely given to their son, Roberth Olowu as new President of the Ehwerhe community.

The Olowu family equally frowned at those persons who assumed the position of owning their community, adding that such elements could not attract any meaningful development to the affected over the years, urging the residents to continue to give in all their supports and prayers to Olowu’s family that has brought developments to the area.

As such, the family can only be intimidated by what anyone or any group of persons has contributed to the community and not by retirement status.

This, the Olowu family named some projects attracted to the community which include renovation of community primary school, provision of hospital equipment, donation of transformer to boost electrification and solar streetlight among others.

Olowu’s family challenge the detractors and those claiming ownership of the community to tell the world their contribution to the community.

Global Times Nigeria investigation revealed that the processes leading to selection of a new president of the community follow due process and had been concluded.

It was also reported that the Olowu’s family vowed never to negotiate with the mandate given to their brother in the guise of election, maintained that it would not surrender their mandate.

The Olowu’s asked, has there been any election conducted in past to elect a President before, this question is still begging for an answer as no one could provide it for now.

Meanwhile, Barr Andrew Anibor, the media consultant to Pa.Peter Ivi Ogbokow,  who is the eldest man of the Okah said, the family has chosen Comrade Robert Olowu as the President Elect.

According to him, those asking for only God knows election to choose the family nominee are out to ferment trouble.

He said one Stephen Okoshene has no right to conduct election of a family nominee.

 

“We want to reiterate that, a process of selecting the president of the community has already been concluded as such, anyone who is not happy with the process, should approach the court of law rather than engaging in clandestine activity that can result to break down of law and order”.

“We hereby inform the government and security agencies, that the activities of this group of person led by a retired Deputy Commissioner of Police is capable of sabotaging the existing peace of the community”.

“Should there be any breakdown of law in the community, government should hold Stephen Okoshene and Henry Agwefada responsible”.
