A chieftain of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the FCT, Alhaji Zakari Shamaza Kutunku, has described the senate minority leader, Senator Philip Aduda representing the territory as an asset to the people of the FCT.

Kutunku, a former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who was speaking at the PDP stakeholders meeting in Gwagwalada on Monday, said the achievements of senator Aduda has surpassed that of the former senators that represented the people of the FCT.

He said there was no community across the 62 political wards across the six area councils without the foot prints of Aduda’s achievements especially in the area of infrastructures such as rural roads, electricity, water, health centers, youth/women empowerment and among others.

He, however, debunked the rumour that the Gbagyi natives of the council will vote for only APC candidates during the 2023 general election, saying the Gbagyi natives are ready to vote for all the PDP candidates from presidential down to house of representatives at the polls in 2023.

Also speaking, the immediate former chairman of Gwagwalada area council, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha, called on the team PDP members and supporters to ensure they come out en-mass to vote for PDP during the forthcoming general election.

He said voting for the PDP will bring more dividends of democracy to people at the grassroots.

Earlier, the state FCT PDP chairman, Hon Sunday Zaka, also charged the members of the party especially the youths to ensure they work assiduously for the victory of the PDP from presidential down to house representatives seats during the 2023 election.

He noted that senator Philip Aduda has done a lot interns of infrastructural development and youth/women empowerment in the council, while urging the PDP members and other stakeholders in the area to come together to ensure they work for the victory of the party at the polls.

Our correspondent report that among state party officials at the stakeholders meeting included the state organizing secretary, Hon Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo, PDP women / youth leaders.
