Kogi State Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources Receives Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, discuss way forward.

The Kogi State Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources led by the Commissioner, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, on Thursday, 4th February 2021 received the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Abuja, Dr. Mrs. Akinlade Oluwatoyin in his Office in Lokoja, the State Capital.

The meeting was to seek for collaboration between the Kogi State Government and the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development at holding a stakeholders meeting on the establishment of minerals service Centre in the North Central.

The planned Project is said to have been influenced by the visionary, dynamic and focused Governor of the State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello alongside the seasoned and committed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Mrs. Akinlade Oluwatoyin, who is a daughter of Kogi State.

The project will include Minerals buying, Beneficiation, Lapidary and Artisanal Information centres.

The project is to be sited at Mopa Amuro Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The Managing Director, Kogi State Solid Minerals Processing Company Ltd. Engr. Mohammed Lawal Omeiza was present at the meeting.
