It was a moment of joy and reunion of the Toto Local Government All Progressives Congress, APC, family meeting to review its activities after the concluded 2023 elections and subsequent appeal court ruling removing its political leader.

The Executive Chairman of the council, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas has said the governing party is totally in charge of affairatin the State and LG level, saying the setback caused by the appeal court ruling removing its political leader and former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe won demoralized calling on party members to ensure the existing unity is sustained.

Hon Tashas stated this at the concluded critical stakeholders meeting he convened on Saturday, held at Abdullahi Adamu Youth Centre, Toto, the administrative headquarters of the council.

Tashas said the meeting was necessary inview of all that happened, noting that the party remained viable, focus at providing leadership and governance.

He argued that the two assembly members from the were mere representatives without direction and focus, adding that they have nothing to offer compared to what APC had rendered over the years.

The council boss also cautioned the opposition parties to desist from instigating people against Governor Abdullahi Sule and all APC leaders from LG, State and national.

“We met to rob minds together and strategy ahead for future. We have the governor, we LG Chairman, we two commissioners, councillors and we have appointees from State down to LG.”

According to Tashas, he is yet to see any opposition lawmaker making impact despite the lies and empty promises they made during electioneering campaigns apart from deceit.

“When you go round the 12 electoral wards, the two State constituencies it’s only APC projects you can see.”

He commended party members for keeping faith with present leadership under the pragmatic Executive Governor, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule.

The meeting which had in attendance, Attorney General and Commissioner Justice, Hon Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, Commissioner for Health, Dr Gaza Gwamna, State APC Secretary, Yurus Dagusa, Toto LGC Vice Chairman, Hon Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis, immediate past House of Assembly member representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa and former member representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency now Executive Secretary Teacher Service Commission and erstwhile Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to Governor Sule, Hon Adah Goje

Others include former executive chairman of Toto LGC and now Secretary of Assembly Service Commission, Hon Muhammed Musa Ohinoyi (General), Senior Special Assistant on Banking, Hon Muhammed Ahmed (Oyoyo), Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on Investment, Hon Adam Uthman Shafa, Toto LG APC Chairman, Hon Shuaibu Ahmed (Adawari), Toto LG Legislative Speaker, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ayizi-mazi, all elected councillors, supervisory councillors , youth leaders, elders, youths and some selected delegates from 12 wards among others.

The Chairman who described Rt. Hon Balarabe as a man full of vision that had used his office judiciously to attract meaningful development to his host LG, constituency, praying God to provide him with a bigger opportunity so that he will continue touching lives just as he is known for.

He described his removal as painful, most unfortunate and at a time his service is most needed by his people and State at large even as he said his removal is a huge setback not only to the people of Toto LG but State at large.
