An All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain and immediate past House of Assembly member representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa has praised the commitment and sincerity of purpose as shown by the Executive Chairman of Toto local government council, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas at ensuring the party does not deplete in rank despite of the upset caused by the appeal court removing its political leader and Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe as member representing Umaisha/Ugya constituency.
Hon Shafa, the Executive Secretary of Nasarawa State Teachers Service Commission, was speaking in an interview with our correspondent shortly after the stakeholders meeting held inside the Abdullahi Adamu Youth Centre Toto, the administrative headquarters of the council.
Shafa said the people of Toto LG must come together, and remain united and supportive of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to continue to benefit from the governmental support of Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State.
The former member noted that Rt. Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe is a God’s sent and he had paid his due while in office.
According to him, all the projects he facilitated are there for all to see, calling on party structures across the LG to be wary of division tendencies rather than work together as a team so that they can recover their losses in future elections.
“I must commend the Executive Chairman’s leadership style, Hon Tashas meant business and he has achieved success in all ramifications. I prayed God to continue to keep us together”.
“Rt. Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe remain the leader he used to be. He is always taking about development, peace and security, he will bounce back in no distance time”.
Alhaji Shafa equally appreciated all party leaders who made it to the stakeholders meeting such as the two Commissioners, ranging from Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon (Barr) Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, Commissioner for Health, Dr Gaza Gwamna, State APC Secretary, Yurus Dagusa, Toto LGC Vice Chairman, Hon Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis and erstwhile Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to Governor Sule, Hon Adah Goje
Others include former executive chairman of Toto LGC and now Secretary of Assembly Service Commission, Hon Muhammed Musa Ohinoyi (General), Senior Special Assistant on Banking, Hon Muhammed Ahmed (Oyoyo), Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on Investment, Hon Adam Uthman Shafa, Toto LG APC Chairman, Hon Shuaibu Ahmed (Adawari), Toto LG Legislative Speaker, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ayizi-mazi, all elected councillors, supervisory councillors, youth leaders, elders, youths and some selected delegates from 12 wards among others.
The former lawmaker called on the party’s leaders to continue to hold meetings from time to time to review and update the followers on party activities when necessary, He said.
