Toto LG traditional rulers lauds council boss, Hon Tashas on security, grassroots development
Traditional rulers in Toto local government area of Nasarawa State have commended the effort of the Executive Chairman of the council, Honourable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas for the sustenance of peace and tranquillity in his domain.
The royal fathers in an enlarge meeting held at the chambers of the council’s secretariat said the performance of the council boss in the aspect of security is outstanding and unparalleled.
In a remark, the Ohinoyi of Iggi Patti from Umaisha Development Area said the council boss has been able to changed the narrative about security and grassroots development.
According to him, the image of the Local Government previously has been negatively affected by the activities of the men of the underworld.
He explained that people of out fear and worry before his advent in office erroneously adjudged the council as another ‘Sambisa’ forest in the country.
Also speaking, the Ugwu of Shafa Kwotto, thanked the Chairman for his level of commitment to security, saying there can be no meaningful development without peace and harmony.
He appealed to the chairman to maintain equity in the distribution of dividend of democracy particularly at the ward level.
Similarly, the chief of Tudu Uku in Gadabuke District, Alhaji Maikasuwa Dogo urged the Chairman to continued to continue his good work and pledged the loyalty of the traditional council of the All Progressives Congress, APC, led administration.
He maintained that Hon Tashas deserve a second tenure based on his level of commitment so far.
Responding, the council boss, said his success was a combination of effort particularly in the aspect of information and intelligence gathering.
He expressed appreciation to the Chairman Toto Local Government traditional council of chief, Ohimegye Opanda, HRH. Alhaji Usman Abdullahi for his guidance and advised.
He said he has a pre knowledge of established fear of insecurity among the people which was one of the issues raised concerning his capability during his campaigns.
He emphasize that he has determined from onset of his administration that security will be paramount in his agenda as well as grassroots development.
The Chairman also urged them to continued to support Governor Abdullahi Sule in his quest to transform the State better than he met it.
A press statement signed and issued by Yahaya Idris Toto, Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media and Communication to the council boss, on Wednesday, said the meeting had the presence of traditional rulers from the three districts, Vice Chairman Toto LG, Director Personnel Management, DPM, APC Chairman as well some party stalwarts.
