Uzosike reassures Umuahia South constituents of greater Infrastructural developments, applauds Ikpeazu, Abia Speaker

The Member representing Umuahia south constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Jerry Uzosike, has harped on the need for collective task to bring greater development in 2022.
In an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Umuahia, the state capital on Monday, on the heels of expectations of the people in the new year, Uzosike reassured of dividends of democracy , visible and viable developments in all facets of Umuahia South local government area, particularly on youth empowerment and development, and as well as Infrastructural development.
He disclosed that he has enhanced the standard living of the people and the development of Umuahia South state Constituency through oversight functions as a lawmaker, adding that he has attracted both state and federal jobs to over twenty-five indigent students from the area.
According to him, “I have over nine students, who are under my scholarship scheme, including not just only school fees, also their feeding, accommodations, and clothing.
The Abia lawmaker thanked his constituents, party stakeholders, staff, and members of his foundation for their unwavering and undiluted support, well-founded encouragement, guidance, and advice since the assumption of office.
Uzosike also thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the Speaker of Abia House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, for their continuous attention towards the development of south Constituency.
He further thanked the two Abia leaders for their kind gestures and fraternal care towards him and indeed the entire members of the current 7th Abia state House of Assembly and Staff for their immense support and cooperation which have led to the Infrastructural growth of Umuahia South Constituency.
Uzosike partly stated, “Let me put the record straight, considering my oversight functions. In 2020/2021, I sponsored Bill on Donor Agency Trust Fund Law, already passed by Abia State House of Assembly. Also, Co-sponsored over 17 Bills. Motions Sponsored include;
“Motion to make the study of History Compulsory in Abia Secondary Schools.
“Motion to Reopen Ambassador College Ubakala, closed down by the State Government
“Motion on Umunwanwa Gully Erosion
“Motion on Dilapidated Olokoro Old Timber Road
“Motion on Reopening of National Secondary School Nsirimo, closed down by State Government.
“In Ehime Community Primary School, I built and furnished A School Hall. Ohia Community School witnessed a standard Classroom Block with TeacheRS’ Offices. I also attracted UBE 4 Classroom Block with Teachers Offices there in Egbelu Community School in Umunwanwa, Umuahia South. In Apumiri Ubakala Market, I provided a Borehole water Scheme, well reticulated and with a gigantic Generator set to enhance the pumping of water. Ahiaukwu Olokoro and Laguru Ubakala can boast of standard Industrial Borehole water Scheme, with a gigantic Generator set, courtesy of me. Also building houses for the less privileged across the 3 Clans in Umuahia South. Also Reconstruction of Metron Quarters in Umunwanwa Health Center. Youths Empowerments and reviving of businesses, Sponsoring Football Competitions.
