Vice chairman Olamaboro LG, Hon. Ekele eulogies Shuaibu Audu, praises President Tinubu, Gov. Bello
The Vice chairman of Olamaboro local government in Kogi state, Hon (Mrs) Blessing Aisha Ekele has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Yahaya Bello for deeming it fit to remember the family of Late Prince Abubakar Audu by the appointment of Shuaibu Abubakar Audu as a Minister of Steel Development in the country.
Hon. Ekele disclosed this in Lokoja on Friday to newsmen, describing the appointment as a square peg in a square hole.
While she extolled the virtue of late Prince Abubakar Audu for expressing principle of politics without bitterness in his time, with tint of consistency and inclusiveness, she said the appointment of his son has made the good the saying, ” one good turn, deserves another”.
“Late Prince Abubakar Audu laid his life for the people of the state and in the country in general, expressing politics of consistency and astuteness to the admiration of all.
“He made politics of flexibility as his watch words, which made him to endeared himself to all and sundry. The sage is not dead, but lives by his enduring political ethos which has become the touch bearer for up coming leaders in the state.
“We, the women folks will ever remember him for sowing the seed of women inclusiveness in act of governance and politicking, which the present administration has bought it wholesale, and used it to refine new direction narrative to the benefit of women folks in the state.
“I thank president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria, the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and other stakeholders who played this noble role in ensuring that Audu’s family is remembered in the anal of governmental activities at the centre of the country”, she said.
Magajia 1 of Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state added that by the pedigree of Alhaji Shuaibu Audu, coupled with his experience and his sound educational background, she believes, he will not betray this lofty trust reposed on him.
“You have what it takes to man this position to the goodness of the state and the country. With you at the helm of affairs of steel development, we hope the moribund Iron and Steel company at Ajaokuta in the state will be revived.
“May you express the quality of your late father who is known as a great revivalist, innovator and achiever, and turn things around for the state and Nigeria as a whole via this national assignment”, said Mrs Ekele.
