Vice chairman Olamaboro LGC, Mrs Ekele bids farewell to constituents, commends Governor Bello, others
The former Vice chairman of Olamaboro local government council in kogi state, Hon. (Mrs) Blessing Aisha Ekele have congratulated the people of her council for their cooperation and support while in office.
Mrs Ekele disclosed this in a statement to newsmen in Lokoja on Saturday.
The former vice chairman eulogized her constituents for standing by, as its last and when it matters, stressing that without their support, she and her Boss, Hon. Friday Adejo would not have been able to operate effectively and efficiently to better the lots of their people while they held sway together .
“Our exit from the local government administration at Olamaboro council on 14th December 2023 has made good the truism that says, “anything that has beginning, has an end .
“As the clock of our tenure tickles for days and months before stopping finally on 14th December 2023, I thank God for the wisdom to navigate through easily , without injuries.
“Today , I can therefore beat my chest and say, “it was a successful and impactful voyage”.
“That I have contributed my quotas to the development of the local government to my best of knowledge and in agreement to the Blueprint of Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration who offered me the opportunity to serve my people at the grassroots.
“The experience this opportunity afforded me supercedes any academic exercise in the citadel of learnings in the field of public administration. It’s worth being preserved and re-enacted in my next assignment, as my quest for service to humanity remains elastic”, she said.
She added this experience wouldn’t have been possible without the factor of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji YAHAYA BELLO, the exponent of the new narrative order.
“I personally appreciate governor Alhaji YAHAYA BELLO, his deputy , Chief EDWARD ONOJA and the state chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Abdullahi Bello and others for the rare privilege in the New Direction Government.
“I will not forget my immediate Boss, Hon Friday Adejo for his positive vibes that created conducive atmosphere for me to serve along with him peacefully and impact legacy changes in the anal of the council “.
In the same vein, the former vice chairman thanked the lawmaker representing the council at the state House of Assembly, Hon Anthony Alewo UJAH, the commissioner for commerce and industry, Hon Yunisa Gabriel Olofu and distinguished Senator Attai Aidoko, including the political leaders and traditional rulers of LG for their supports , encouragements and inspiration that made the assignment a successful outing, by all standard.
” Above all; All glory be to God for this opportunity; without Him, the appointment will not materialise or come by for me to serve Olamaboro Local Government in various capacities at this period in the act of governance in the state”, she said.
However, Magajia 1 of Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state appealed to the governor -elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to continue with the template of gender inclusiveness adopted by governor Yahaya Bello in his administration which saw many women entrusted with position of trust .
She stressed that such posture will, among others , give a sense of belonging or relevance to women in his incoming administration that is an offshoot of new narrative school of thought.
