Ahead of March 11 elections due for gubernatorial and state assembly, a frontline philanthropist, an administrator per excellent and a serving Overseer in Gadabuke Development Area, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Mr. Yusuf Samson has counsel his Gbagyi native not to buy or accept those who will come selling religion and ethnic politics to them, saying such bad precedence have destroyed bond of unity and aided disunity and under development.
The elated Overseer who was on tour to some electoral wards and units in Gadabuke district alongside Toto LGC Chairman, Vice Chairman and All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign council spoke to his people in Gbagyi dialect where he cautioned them not to aligned with those who have nothing to offer than using religion and ethnicity to divide them.
Yusuf Samson said if APC in Nasarawa State had used religion their former leader, late Philip Tatari Shekwo won’t have be appointed Nasarawa State APC Chairman.
He told Gbagyi nation to rise up and uphold unity, in doing so more development will trace their land.
“‘I’m here to tell us whole truth, those using a religion as a basis to gain power mostly failed because their aim has never been achieved because such experience is a topic of yesterday”
“Today, I’m an overseer, the APC didn’t chose or gave me this opportunity because I am a Gbagyi man, but rather gave me the change because they believed I have something to offer the people of Gadabuke district, Toto LGC and State at-large”.
Samson who held series of meetings with Gbagyi women and youths counsel them on the need to rally support to governing All Progressives Congress, APC, in order to stand a chance to gain more dividends of democracy.
“I have empower some of our men and youths, this was done because the APC government gave us the opportunity to touch lives in our capacity but not as a religion or tribal jingoist”
He assured his people of more government patronage even as he asked them to come out on Saturday, 11 March to cast their vote for Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Executive Governor Nasarawa State and Member representing Toto/Gadabuke state constituency who doubles as APC flag-bearer, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa.
He commended the Gbagyi people for their unalloyed support they have been rendering to Governor Abdullahi Sule led APC administration, urging them them to sustain the tempo.
