The new Wakiliya, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim and the new Waziriya, Hajia Khadijat Ibrahim
of Koton-Karfe Kingdom in Kogi Local Government Area, have expressed gratitude to the Ohimege-Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Abdulrazak Sanni Isah-Koto, for finding them worthy of Chieftaincy titles in the Area.
In an interview with reporters, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim (Wakiliya of Igu Kingdom), said the honour came to her as a shock, describing the Ohimege-Igu as a man of proven integrity who is always ready to reward hard work.
Hajiya Zainab who is also the Head of Department – Health in Kogi Local Government Council Secretariat, noted that the honor done her will spur her to do more for the people of the Area, stressing that Chieftaincy title is a call to service.
“I will use this position for the interest of the people of this Area. Touching the lives of the vulnerable, widows, orphans, and ensure youths are accorded the needed attention so that the Community can grow”
On her part, the new Waziriya of Igu Kingdom, Hajia Khadijat Ibrahim described the title given her as an opportunity to contribute her quota to the development of the Area.
Hajiya Khadijat said the Ohimege-Igu has once again proven his leadership of equality by choosing women to be given Chieftaincy title along their male counterpart in the Area.
The new Waziriya of Igu Kingdom promised to work hard and justify the privilege given to her to serve the people of the Area.
“I am so happy and feel honoured to be part of those given Chieftaincy title as a woman. I will work to justify this honour. I appreciate God for this and I also appreciate our father, the Ohimege-Igu for finding me worthy”
