Parts of concerted efforts to make Nigerian youths contributes meaningfully to their host Country, the Youth Assembly of Nigeria, YAN, under the Leadership of its Head of Mission and Ambassador Director General, Diaspora Directorate, Her Excellency, Helen Mukoro Idisi, in a statement penultimate weekend announced the appointment of Mr. Ernest Omoniyi as the YAN Ambassador To Ireland and Director General YAN In Asia.
The statement read;
“I’m pleased to convey the approval of your appointment as Ambassador of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria to Ireland, Diaspora-Directorate and Director of YAN Asia Diaspora-Directorate, under the leadership of the Head of Mission (Ambassador) and Director General (YAN Diaspora-Directorate) Her Excellency, Helen Mukoro Idisi, with effect from 3rd October, 2020”.
“Your Appointment is based on consideration of your financial management, community health skills, expertise, and leadership to contribute towards the development of YAN Ireland and YAN Asia Diaspora Directorate”.
the statement further said “In line with the Assembly’s mission and objectives of contributing positively on the youths of Nigeria, you will be required to work with the Head of Mission Diaspora-Directorate to design programs geared towards nation building and to support Nigerians in the diaspora”.
The appointment is at the pleasure of the Head of Mission (Ambassador) and Director General Diaspora-Directorate and therefore, maybe terminated at her discretion.
